Valerie A. Dobiesz, MD, FACEP

Earning a Bachelors Degree in French Literature and Biology in 1984 from Vanderbilt University set the foundation for Dr. Valerie A. Dobiesz’s career in medicine. She returned to her hometown in Louisville, Kentucky to attend medical school. Dr. Dobiesz graduated from University of Louisville in 1988 with her Medical Degree and completed her residency with the University of Illinois Affiliated Residency in Emergency Medicine in 1991. She received her Board Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1992 and again in 2002. In 1994, Dr. Dobiesz became a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Since this time, she has given back to the medical community by helping to develop medical student curriculum. Outside hospital walls, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing the bass guitar, and running.
