Margaret (Peg) Dittmar APN, CNP

Margaret (Peg) Dittmar, holds an LPN and ADN degree from Highland Community College. She also attended Rockford College, where she obtained a BSN, and Northern Illinois University, where she graduated with a MSN that included specialty training in Family Practice.

While spending many years in the medical field, Peg feels that she has been privileged to gain experience in Pre-Hospital, Emergency, Intensive Care and Cardiovascular, as well as general nursing. Peg is currently licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois and Iowa. She is Board-Certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has obtained a Fellowship in Cardiovascular nursing. She is also a member of the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing and the Professional Women's Initiative.

In addition to being a Director on the Jo Daviess County Health Department board, Peg holds certification as a Provider of Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Since May of 2006, Peg has been providing a wide variety of family care, patient education and illness prevention as a member of the healthcare providers in Galena. She is the Clinic Coordinator of the Midwest Health Clinic and shares a strong interest in Women's Health, as well as providing all aspects of family care.
