Margaret (Peg) Dittmar APN, CNP
Margaret (Peg) Dittmar was born in North Carolina and has been a resident of Jo Daviess County since she was 13. She and her husband Rick celebrate a 34 year marriage, three married children and four grandchildren.
Peg's professional degrees include: Highland Community College where she obtained LPN and ADN degrees. She also attended Rockford College, where she obtained a BSN, and Northern Illinois University, where she graduated with a MSN that included specialty training in Family Practice.
While spending many years in the medical field, Peg feels that she has been privileged to gain experience in Pre-Hospital, Emergency, Intensive Care and Cardiovascular, as well as general nursing. Peg is currently licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois and Iowa. She is Board-Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has obtained a Fellowship in Cardiovascular nursing. She is also a member of the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing. In addition to being a Director on the Jo Daviess County Health Department board, Peg holds certification as a Provider of Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Peg has a strong interest in women’s health and she continues to provide a wide variety of family care, patient education and illness prevention as a member of the health care providers in Galena. |
