CONFUSED ABOUT THE NEW RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WHEN TO HAVE A MAMMOGRAM?
We at Midwest Medical Center and Midwest Health Clinic are dedicated to excellence when it comes to your health care. We are advocates for early detection of breast cancer and we follow the American Cancer Society guidelines for screening mammography.
The American Cancer Society has published that they will not change their guidelines based on the recommendations made by the United States Preventive Services Task Force. The American Cancer Society continues to recommend annual screening using mammography and clinical breast examination for all women beginning at age 40.
Should you have a question about your own health insurance coverage where mammogram is concerned, it is best to speak with your carrier. As with all of your questions and concerns for your health, it is best to speak with your personal physician or healthcare provider. Welcome Dr. Matt Gullone and Dr. Beth Gullone
Midwest Health Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Matt Gullone and Dr. Beth Gullone have joined Dr. Mike Wells and Peg Dittmar at Midwest Health Clinic to provide a wide spectrum of family health care.
Dr. Matt Gullone has special interest in sports medicine and men’s health and will also perform screening colonoscopies. Dr. Beth Gullone has a special interest in women’s and children’s health and aside from working at MHC, she will spend one day each week working with Dr. Krynn Buckley, a Gynecologist located in Dubuque.
